McGreals Pharmacies is seeking a qualified Community Pharmacist to join our team across Mullingar and Portarlington. You will dispense prescriptions accurately, provide expert medication advice and uphold regulatory standards.

This part-time role covers three days per week across two locations, with Saturdays on a rotating basis. We offer a supportive environment, opportunities for development and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life assurance, annual leave and EAP.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified and registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. This role is part time, working three days per week across our stores in Mullingar, Co Westmeath and Portarlington, Co Laois. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications and providing expert healthcare advice to the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with legal and professional standards.
• Provide advice on medications, including dosage, side effects and interactions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
• Leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Supervise and support the pharmacy team.
• Deliver additional pharmacy services (e.g., vaccinations, health screening and common conditions service)

Managing the day-to-day operations of the dispensary and store, including:

• Stock control.
• Paperwork and administrative duties.
• Claim verification and submission.
• Store opening/closing duties.

The Ideal Candidate

• Fully qualified and registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Minimum 1-year experience in community pharmacy (preferred).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organised, capable of working efficiently under pressure.
• Empathetic and professional in dealing with patients.
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate a team.
• Available to work 3 days per week across two locations and every second Saturday (this will be 1 of your 3 days). Additional days will be required to cover annual leave and sick leave.
