Job summary

McGreals Pharmacies is seeking a qualified Community Pharmacist to join our team across Mullingar and Portarlington. You will dispense prescriptions accurately, provide expert medication advice and uphold regulatory standards.

This part-time role covers three days per week across two locations, with Saturdays on a rotating basis. We offer a supportive environment, opportunities for development and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life assurance, annual leave and EAP.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified and registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in community pharmacy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organised and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Empathetic and professional handling of patients.
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions according to standards.
• Provide advice on medications, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with PSI guidelines.
• Lead the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Supervise and support the pharmacy team.
• Deliver services such as vaccinations and health screenings.
