Job summary

Corlann seeks a Temporary Part-Time Support Worker for Children’s Services in Galway. The role involves providing hands-on care to children, supporting meals, daily living activities and personal care while helping implement Individual Plans and outcomes.

Flexibility and teamwork are essential in a community-based setting. Work initially in Knocknacarra with possible change by service needs; 50 hours fortnight on a 5‑day roster, with pro‑rata annual remuneration based on the public sector scale

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 qualification in intellectual disability or related field.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a school, healthcare or childcare setting.
• Full clean manual Irish Driving Licence (Class B).
• Fluency in verbal and written English.
• Demonstrate flexibility, communication and teamwork.
• Basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support for children (meals, hygiene and well‑being).
• Assist with development of Individual Plans and outcomes; support participation in ordinary life and community.
