Job summary

Irish Wheelchair Association invites applications for a full-time, permanent Service Coordinator role based in Ballycanew. You will manage and develop Community Centre services for people with physical and sensory disabilities and establish new programmes to support participation and independence.

The role requires a QQI Level 8 degree or equivalent and several years of people management, with a strong emphasis on person-centred approaches and collaboration with HSE, local authorities, and

Qualifications

• Degree at QQI Level 8 or professional qualification in Applied Social Studies/Disabilities/Community Work or General Management is essential.
• Several years of people management experience, preferably in the disability sector or similar services.
• Computer literate with databases and Microsoft Office suite is essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement service models in Community Centre services.
• Lead and develop staff and volunteers to meet IWA standards.
• Develop new programmes/services to support participation and independence.
• Manage budgets, buildings and transport Resources.
• Foster relationships with HSE, local authorities and community groups.
