Job summary

The Community Connector will join WALK’s Day Opportunities team serving clients in North and South Dublin. The role focuses on supporting people to develop a lifestyle within their chosen community, based on person-centred practice.

You will work as part of a team to deliver supports in employment, education and personal development, while maintaining flexible and supportive engagements with service users and colleagues.

Qualifications

• CORU registration is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships and work with people whose behaviour can challenge.
• Well organised with strong IT and administration skills.
• Flexible, motivated and a team player.
• Respect for person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Support people taking part in WALK’s Day support services to enable them to live in their chosen community.
• Contribute to employment, education/training and personal development outcomes for individuals.
• Be an essential part of a support team delivering person-centred practice and ensuring high-quality supports.
