Job summary

Corlann – Clonard Adult Services in Castlerea is hiring Support Workers (Care Assistant grade) to assist in residential, respite, day settings or community services. The role focuses on personal care, independence, and inclusive daily living. Applicants should have relevant qualifications and a clean driving licence.

Permanent Part-Time and Temporary posts are available with a 14-day duty roster and varied shifts including weekends and sleep-ins. Closing date 13 October 2026.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in the field of intellectual disability or a FETAC Level 5 course is an advantage.
• A QQI Level 5 or higher is desirable.
• Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily living, promoting independence and development of skills.
• Assist with personal care and everyday activities in community or residential settings.
• Engage in inclusive and creative approaches to enable participation in ordinary life.
• Work within Corlann’s person-centred planning approach and outcome measures.
