Job summary

Prosper Fingal, part of the Prosper Group, is hiring a Social Care Worker to join the North Street Service in Swords. This permanent, full-time role offers 37 hours per week with a flexible pattern and the chance to work in a community-based service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

The role emphasizes person-centred supports, independence, and community participation. You will work with individuals in their homes and local settings, with some evening and weekend

Qualifications

• A relevant third-level qualification in Social Care or a related discipline.
• CORU registration or eligibility to register.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Full, clean manual driving licence.
• Experience working in individualised or community-based services.
• Knowledge of the HSE New Directions framework.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to identify and achieve their personal goals.
• Promote independence and develop daily living skills.
• Support people within their own homes and local communities.
• Encourage community participation, social inclusion and relationship building.
• Deliver person-centred supports based on individual needs and preferences.
• Work independently while remaining part of a supportive wider team.
• Contribute to person-centred planning and maintain accurate records.
