Avista is seeking a Communications Officer for Children’s Services in Limerick and Dublin with a national role. Office base in Limerick; pro‑rated salary for hours. 3rd level qualification required and 2+ years in a communications role, preferably in public/not‑for‑profit sectors.
Strong written/verbal skills, social media management, and driving licence essential. Applicants will support Avista’s values, deliver community‑based communications, and work with multiple stakeholders.

Office base in Limerick
*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

3rd level qualification in relevant field e . g. Journalism, Communications, PR.
2+ years’ experience in a communications role, ideally within the public or not-for-profit sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messages to different audiences and platforms.
Experience managing social media platforms and digital content creation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic design/editing tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
Experience in Event management and planning
Full clean manual Irish driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Proficiency in the English language.
Demonstrate ability to collaborate with numerous stakeholders .
Demonstrate creativity and innovation in developing communication strategies and content.
Experience with project management of inter-departmental projects, campaigns and events.
Be a highly motivated individual withthe ability to work on own initiative and the capacity to manage change
