The Mechanical Commissioning Lead will take ownership of commissioning delivery on a large-scale data centre project, ensuring systems are commissioned safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise and commissioning management experience.

Location: Milan, Italy - Includes Tax Free Living Allowance + Negotiable Salary

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical commissioning activities across complex projects.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans and strategies.
• Coordinate commissioning teams, vendors and specialist contractors.
• Manage commissioning schedules, trackers and progress reporting.
• Lead walkdowns, tag walks and system sign-off activities.
• Review technical documentation, drawings and commissioning procedures.
• Manage snag resolution and handover readiness activities.
• Support client meetings and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Mentor and support junior commissioning engineers.

Requirements:

• Extensive mechanical commissioning experience.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing commissioning programmes on large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical building services and critical systems.
• Data centre experience advantageous.
