• Witness and verify functional testing and commissioning activities.

My client is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Germany. This is a hands‑on commissioning role focused on ensuring mechanical systems are installed, tested and commissioned safely and efficiently through to client handover.

Location: Germany - Includes Tax Free Living Allowance + Negotiable Salary

Key Responsibilities:

• Review IFC drawings, specifications and mechanical submittals.
• Support development and execution of commissioning plans and methodologies.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with vendors, package engineers and planners.
• Prepare and review test packs, commissioning scripts and checklists.
• Witness and verify functional testing and commissioning activities.
• Carry out walkdowns, inspections and system verification exercises.
• Track commissioning progress, snags and close‑out activities.
• Support preparation of O&M manuals and client training documentation.
• Assist with client commissioning meetings and project handover activities.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical commissioning experience on building services projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, heating, ventilation and pressurisation systems.
• Experience coordinating testing and commissioning activities on site.
• Strong understanding of commissioning sequences and system interfaces.
• Data centre experience beneficial but not essential.
