Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a Tier 1 M&E Contractor for a large Data Centre Project in Milan, Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating mechanical engineering and commissioning activities.

This role offers a salary between €70,000 – €90,000 DOE, along with generous living allowances, double occupancy accommodation, and regular flights back home. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills and significant experience in the engineering field.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ relevant experience, including 3+ years in a lead or managerial role.
• Experience in data centre and/or pharmaceutical projects preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering, design management, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and company engineering procedures.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and support continuous professional development.
