Job summary

eir business talent is seeking a Commissioning & Field Service Engineer for Ireland with nationwide travel to support large-scale infrastructure programmes. You will deploy, test and commission operational technology systems across multiple sites.

Key duties include installing, configuring and commissioning OT, telemetry and control systems, conducting SAT/FAT, troubleshooting issues, and preparing commissioning documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in field engineering or commissioning roles.
• Knowledge of SCADA, telemetry, PLC or industrial control environments.
• Understanding of networking and communications technologies.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
• OT cybersecurity awareness.
• Experience with remote monitoring and diagnostics solutions.

Commissioning & Field Service Engineer Contract | Ireland | Nationwide Travel Required

eir business is building a network of Commissioning and Field Service Engineers to support large-scale infrastructure programmes across Ireland. The successful candidates will play a key role in deploying, testing and commissioning operational technology systems across multiple sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and commission OT, telemetry and control systems
• Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT) and factory acceptance testing (FAT)
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and communications issues
• Complete site audits, inspections and readiness assessments
• Support upgrades, maintenance and asset lifecycle activities
• Prepare commissioning documentation and reports

Skills & Experience:

• Experience working in field engineering, commissioning or service engineering roles
• Knowledge of SCADA, telemetry, PLC or industrial control environments
• Understanding of networking and communications technologies
• Strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland
• Utilities, energy, manufacturing or infrastructure experience
• OT cybersecurity awareness
• Experience with remote monitoring and diagnostics solutions
