Job summary

Silent Aire in Dublin is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning activities, maintain client relations, and document control. International travel is an essential part of this role and you will contribute to continuous improvement across projects.

You will develop commissioning protocols, support QA/QC, and ensure GMP-compliant documentation while coordinating with design and supplier teams. The position demands strong organization and proactive problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commissioning role is essential.
• Ability to travel internationally as required.
• HVAC delivery experience in Data Centre industry desirable.
• Controls or BMS experience advantageous.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Proactive and solution-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project stages from installation to handover with the client’s team.
• Engage with engineering design and QA/QC to feedback issues or improvements.
• Develop commissioning and qualification protocols for processes and equipment.
• Prepare and execute commissioning and SAT protocols.
• Develop system impact assessments and validation reports.
• Review project documentation for technical accuracy and GMP adherence.
• Ensure safe operation during start-up and testing.
• Organize daily tasks and track progress.
• Communicate with client site teams to meet needs across H&S and quality.

What You Will Do

How You Will Do It

• Coordinate and provide input at all stages of project completion; Installation to Commissioning and Handover to Client alongside the Client’s project(s) team
• Engagement with Engineering design and QA/QC Teams to comprehend and understand the operational requirements and to feedback any issues or potential improvements.
• Develop protocols for Commissioning and Qualification of process and equipment as required.
• Preparation and execution of Commissioning and SAT protocols.
• Develop system impact assessments, protocols and reports that support the qualification and validation of systems.
• Reviewing and approving project documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to GMP.
• Ensuring safe operation of the system prior to and during start-up functional testing and Qualification phase.
• Installation Verification execution.
• System Start-up activities.
• Functional Testing of systems.
• Organize and review daily tasks/verifications and track the progress of the activities assigned.
• Regular communication and coordination with clients site team including client operations group to ensure client needs are met across H&S, quality, site commissioning, and handover – inclusive of client site representatives e.g., general and mechanical contractors, commissioning agents, controls contractor, etc.

What We Look For

• Ability to travel internationally as required
• Experience in a commissioning role
• Controls or BMS experience would be advantageous
• Trade or related discipline - Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Power fluid systems, Automation, Mechanical fitter
• Experience in HVAC delivery within Data Centre industry is desirable
• Advanced skills level across Microsoft suite of applications
• Very well organized with good attention to detail
• Proactive – driven to achieve results
• Adaptable and Solution-oriented
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to work with multiple deadlines
