Job summary

The SpitJack in Limerick is seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. Immediate or flexible start date; flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time opportunities.

You'll work under senior chefs, prepare ingredients to SpitJack standards, support all sections during service, and uphold food safety and hygiene guidelines in a busy rotisserie brasserie known for Irish produce and memorable dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing kitchen environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and dishes to SpitJack standards under the guidance of senior chefs
• Supporting all sections of the kitchen during service
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented consistently and to a high standard
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Following food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage
• Contributing to a positive, team-focused kitchen culture
