Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment seeks a commercially focused Product Manager to own a software product from concept to launch and growth. You’ll define vision, strategy and roadmap while collaborating with Engineering and UX to translate requirements into deliverables.

You will assess market opportunities, build business cases and support pricing decisions, owning revenue, costs and margins. The role requires strong stakeholder management and a data-driven mindset in a hybrid Galway setting.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a software or SaaS product through its full lifecycle.
• Experience launching or developing products from an early stage.
• Strong commercial awareness including revenue, cost, pricing and profitability.
• Experience conducting market analysis, customer discovery and competitor research.
• Ability to build a product strategy and convert it into an actionable roadmap.
• Experience working with Engineering, UX, Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of the product from concept through launch, growth and optimisation.
• Define the product vision, strategy, positioning and roadmap.
• Assess market and customer needs, competitors and commercial opportunity.
• Develop business cases and support pricing, investment and go-to-market decisions.
• Own and monitor product financials, including revenue, costs and margins.
• Identify drivers of profitability and actions to improve it.
• Establish commercial and customer success measures for the product.
• Translate strategy into deliverable requirements with Engineering and UX.
• Prioritise the roadmap and backlog based on value, revenue, cost and strategic importance.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing and Customer teams to support launch, adoption and growth.
• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to guide development.
• Report performance, risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
