Job summary

Tetra Tech Ireland seeks a commercially focused Cost Manager to lead commercial performance across engineering projects in Ireland. You will oversee tendering, invoicing, change control and financial reporting, collaborating with project teams, finance, directors and clients to drive value and risk management.

Based in Dublin, Cork or Galway, the role supports a range of infrastructure, environmental and development projects, with potential hybrid/remote working depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Degree NFQ Level 8 in quantity surveying, construction economics, commercial management, or related field.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, ACostE, CIOB, EI, CICES or equivalent).
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering design or environmental consultancy in public/private sectors.
• Experience with Irish public-sector procurement and contracts (NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC or similar).

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across projects from tender to close‑out.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Finance and clients to manage scope, fees, risks and obligations.
• Support bids, pricing, contracts and procurement activities, including sub‑consultants and suppliers.
• Manage variations, claims, and changes with cost/ programme implications.
• Maintain auditable commercial records and improve reporting with Excel and Power BI.
