Job summary

Tetra Tech Ireland seeks an experienced Commercial Manager – PMO to lead cost control, commercial governance and contract management across a portfolio of engineering projects in Ireland. You will work with project managers, finance, and clients to optimize value, manage risk and ensure compliant financial performance.

Based in Ireland with hybrid options, you will oversee tendering through delivery and close‑out, driving effective commercial strategies and timely invoicing while mentoring

Qualifications

• Degree or NFQ Level 8 qualification in quantity surveying, construction economics, commercial management, construction management, engineering, project management, or related discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, ACostE, CIOB, Engineers Ireland, CICES) or equivalent.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy or environmental consultancy in civil/transport infrastructure, water, energy, or development projects.
• Knowledge of Irish public-sector procurement and the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF), including NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC or other contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost reports, forecasts and management information; monitor fee, scope and programme assumptions.
• Provide commercial advice to Project Managers and teams; review and administer client appointments and sub‑consultant agreements.
• Support bids and procurement activities, including pricing, tender documentation and evaluations, and subcontract management.
• Manage variations, scope changes and compensation events; assess entitlement and cost/programme implications.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to improve project performance and governance.
