Job summary

We are seeking a Commercial & Operations Associate to drive revenue growth, manage key customer relationships, and support the full sales cycle from lead generation to service delivery.

The role involves coordinating commercial and operational activities, planning driver jobs, and collaborating with marketing to promote the Eurofins brand.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within an accredited contract testing laboratory or related industry laboratory environment preferred.
  • Previous customer facing experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hard-working, self-motivated and professional team player.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, organise and co-ordinate your own workload.
  • Microsoft office experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Identify leads and develop prospects to generate a project pipeline of sufficient value to achieve and sustain growth objectives.
  • Maintain pipeline updates and records on a weekly basis and assist with preparation of weekly commercial reports.
  • Manage a selected portfolio of existing customer accounts, maintaining regular contact, supporting issue resolution and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and develop the account.
  • Work with Group Marketing to develop materials and tools that support business development and promote the Eurofins brand.
  • Resolve or escalation commercial issues and negotiations, with support from functional leads where required.
  • Support tender processes by conducting quality reviews to understand logistics, operational and technical requirements, incorporating feedback from functional leads and developing high-quality proposals that meet the required service and quality standards.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Manage Customer queries, complaints and escalation processes.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling of jobs in Synchro teams for drivers, ensuring that available job information and customer requirements are accurately reflected to support efficient service delivery.
  • Review scheduled routes to target new customers on selected routes.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and service delivery for existing clients though monthly NPS.
  • Own the account management and mobilisation of newly won work from contract award through to stable operational delivery, acting as a clear point of contact for the customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with laboratory, logistics and operations teams to drive service improvements.
  • Ensure customer sampling requirements are translated into operational plans.
  • Assist with contingency planning for resource shortages, holidays and peak workloads.

Job Description

To support the delivery of revenue targets and the organisation's business development and operational activities. The role delivers against defined KPIS to support consistent, profitable and sustainable growth across targeted service lines for the Environment Testing business in Ireland. The Commercial & Operations Associate develops and sustain relationships with new and existing customers and key stakeholders, identifies business development opportunities, and supports the full sales cycle from lead generation, tendering and contract award through to operational handover and service delivery. The role also provides account management for newly won work and a selected portfolio of existing customers, while assisting with the planning and scheduling of driver jobs in synchro teams.

REPORTING TO Commercial & Operations Manager

Main Commercial responsibilities Will include:
