Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Commercial & Operations Associate to support revenue targets and drive business development across Ireland's Environment Testing services. You will manage a portfolio of customers, identify opportunities, and support the full sales cycle from lead generation to service delivery.

You will collaborate with marketing, coordinate with drivers and Synchro teams, and act as the main contact for customers and internal stakeholders, helping to ensure high-quality service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accredited contract testing laboratory is preferred.
• Customer facing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify leads and develop prospects to create a project pipeline of sufficient value to achieve and sustain growth objectives.
• Maintain pipeline updates and weekly commercial reports.
• Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts and resolve issues.

Job Description

To support the delivery of revenue targets and the organisation's business development and operational activities. The role delivers against defined KPIS to support consistent, profitable and sustainable growth across targeted service lines for the Environment Testing business in Ireland. The Commercial & Operations Associate develops and sustain relationships with new and existing customers and key stakeholders, identifies business development opportunities, and supports the full sales cycle from lead generation, tendering and contract award through to operational handover and service delivery. The role also provides account management for newly won work and a selected portfolio of existing customers, while assisting with the planning and scheduling of driver jobs in synchro teams.

REPORTING TO Commercial & Operations Manager

Main Commercial responsibilities Will include:

• Identify leads and develop prospects to generate a project pipeline of sufficient value to achieve and sustain growth objectives.
• Maintain pipeline updates and records on a weekly basis and assist with preparation of weekly commercial reports.
• Manage a selected portfolio of existing customer accounts, maintaining regular contact, supporting issue resolution and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and develop the account.
• Work with Group Marketing to develop materials and tools that support business development and promote the Eurofins brand.
• Resolve or escrow commercial issues and negotiations, with support from functional leads where required.
• Support tender processes by conducting quality reviews to understand logistics, operational and technical requirements, incorporating feedback from functional leads and developing high-quality proposals that meet the required service and quality standards.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
• Manage Customer queries, complaints and escalation processes.

Main Operations responsibilities Will include:

• Assist with the Planning and scheduling of jobs in Synchro teams for drivers, ensuring that available job information and customer requirements are accurately reflected to Support efficient service delivery.
• Review scheduled routes to target new customers on selected routes.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and service delivery for existing clients though monthly NPS.
• Own the account management and mobilisation of newly won work from contract award through to stable operational delivery, acting as a clear point of contact for the customer and internal stakeholders.
• Work with laboratory, logistics and operations teams to drive service improvements.
• Ensure customer sampling requirements are translated into operational plans.
• Assist with contingency planning for resource shortages, holidays and peak workloads.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience working within an accredited contract testing laboratory or related industry laboratory environment preferred.
• Previous customer facing experience preferred.
