Job summary

Irving Knight Group in Ireland seeks a Commercial Manager to drive growth across Ireland across multiple market segments. The role blends responsibilities across acquired and existing portfolios, with a strong emphasis on building a sales team over time and close collaboration with Managing Directors from two organisations.

You will split time between the County Wicklow office (3–4 days/week) and client activities across Ireland, reporting into senior leadership.

Qualifications

• BSc in Chemistry or Life Sciences preferred; a business degree is required as a minimum.
• Minimum five years experience selling Specialty Chemicals or Food Ingredients in Ireland.
• Minimum two years of team management experience.
• Must be able to work from the County Wicklow office three days per week.
• Must be able to travel across Ireland 30–50% of the time.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication, adapting to audience as needed.
• Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support revenue growth for the new entity and eventually lead a sales team.
• Contribute to business strategy and operating plan; drive performance against targets.
• Collaborate with Managing Directors to ensure a smooth transition.
• Contribute to Ireland-wide strategy and performance targets with UK & Ireland management.
• Identify acquisition and partnership opportunities in Ireland and liaise with senior leaders.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across Ireland; advance to close.
• Represent Ireland in local market; engage customers and suppliers.
• Lead customer proposals and pitches in collaboration with UK colleagues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and partners.
