Job summary

Amicus is recruiting a Commercial Finance Director to lead the finance function of a fast-growing construction business. You will partner with the MD and leadership to embed financial strategy into daily operations and shape commercial deals.

The role focuses on profit optimization, working capital, and scaling the finance function over the next 12–24 months, with hands-on, boots-on-the-ground leadership across projects and sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified with CIMA/ACCA/ACA and 8+ years post-qualification experience
• Construction/project-based experience highly advantageous
• Strong technical capabilities in project accounting and financial modeling
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Embed with project directors and commercial teams to influence contract negotiations and pricing to maximise profitability across project lifecycle
• Lead working capital strategies and treasury optimization to maximise cash conversion
• Own contract accounting, WIP management, and revenue recognition under IFRS 15 while managing variations and margin leaks
• Deliver scenario planning and growth modelling to guide executive decisions and evaluate opportunities
• Harness Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to turn data into actionable commercial intelligence across operations
