Sandman Hotel Group is seeking an enthusiastic bartender for Portmarnock, Ireland. You will provide a warm, efficient beverage service to resort guests and visitors, delivering menu guidance and upselling where appropriate.

Role requires knowledge of spirits and cocktails, excellent communication, and a flexible schedule to meet business needs. A strong guest-focused approach and teamwork are essential in this coastal retreat.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience essential.
• Sound knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails and coffee.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work longer hours as per business demands.
• Be courteous, professional and provide efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests according to standards.
• Interact with customers and build loyal, satisfied patrons.
• Assess needs and make recommendations.
• Upsell promotions and suggestive selling.
• Keep the bar area neat and clean at all times.
• Advise guests about resort, dining options and information.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws.
• Process payments and record sales in Micros.
• Collaborate with Jameson Bar, Kitchen, Front Office and outlets.
