Job summary

GUS Precision Engineering Services Limited in Ireland seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to create and optimise programs for sheet and tube laser cutting and press brake operations using Trumpf TruTops platforms.

You will analyse STEP files, develop efficient nesting to minimise waste, and use SAP for material allocation and traceability, while interpreting GD&T drawings and collaborating with engineering to meet quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CNC programming experience.
• Experience with Trumpf TruTops platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Experience in precision engineering/manufacturing environments.
• English level: B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimise CNC programs for sheet laser, tube laser, and press brake operations.
• Import, analyse STEP files and propose solutions before production begins.
• Develop nesting strategies to minimise waste and maximise sheet utilisation.
• Use SAP or similar ERP for material allocation and traceability.
• Read GD&T drawings, tolerances, and bend allowances.
• Collaborate with engineering and shop floor to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
