Job summary

GUS Precision Engineering Services Limited in Wexford, Ireland, seeks an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Programmer, Setter and Operator to join a growing precision engineering team. You will program, set up and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines, ensuring production and quality meet demanding standards.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with CNC programming, setting and operation, CAD/CAM software, and reading engineering drawings. Fluency in English and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC Mill-Turn machines.
• Ability to create, modify and optimise CNC programmes independently.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Desirable: Mastercam experience.
• Desirable: FANUC controls experience.
• Desirable: Experience in precision engineering or high-spec manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines.
• Set up tooling, fixtures and workholding equipment.
• Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Modify and optimise programmes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain required tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and programming issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and TPM activities.
• Maintain production and quality records.
• Follow all company health, safety and quality procedures.
