Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (CNC) for a 12-month contract in Cork. The role acts as SME in technical, engineering, automation, or business process areas and collaborates with site management to develop and implement the site’s future-state strategy.

You will drive innovation and operational excellence, standardise best practices, and lead significant engineering and lean initiatives across sites, with close alignment to vendors and senior management to meet cost,

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or science discipline (manufacturing, mechanical, electronic, production) or technical experience equivalence.
Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
CNC experience is advantageous.
Recognised Lean qualification.
Proven project management skills.

Responsibilities

Contribute and input into Engineering functional strategy.
Champion operations excellence across the site.
Plans and conducts engineering research design.
Plans and conducts significant engineering and lean initiatives.
Standardises and optimises best practices and procedures across sites.
Co-ordinates with other unit’s vendors and senior managers as needed to ensure specific cost, time and regulatory standards are met.
Communicates with business partners to resolve process and product issues.
Evaluates the results of projects and provides manufacturing guidance and assistance as required
