Job summary

Ekco is seeking a skilled Solutions Architect to join our growing team in Ireland. This role bridges business needs with technology solutions, working with sales, clients and delivery teams to design scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud, infrastructure, networking, and modern workplace solutions.

The ideal candidate has broad enterprise infrastructure experience across major cloud providers, strong commercial awareness, and excellent customer engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Design enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understand Hybrid Cloud, migration, modernization and digital transformation.
• Design networking including routing, switching, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls and network security.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix.
• Experience with identity, authentication and access management (AD, Entra ID, Okta).
• Strong cybersecurity concepts including Zero Trust, SIEM, backup, and DR planning.
• Automation and IaC with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or CloudFormation.
• Understand cloud governance, cost optimisation, licensing and commercial considerations.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities with design thinking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in presales/consultancy or similar client-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead during presales to understand business objectives and technical challenges.
• Design and present end-to-end solutions across cloud, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Deliver architecture workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Support delivery teams to ensure architecture governance and best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with account managers, vendors and partners to ensure viable, deliverable solutions.
• Produce solution proposals, diagrams, bids and implementation documentation.
• Stay current with cloud, networking, security trends and vendor roadmaps.
• Contribute to managed services offerings and sales enablement materials.
• Provide technical mentoring to colleagues as needed.
