Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Software Engineer for its CCPS group in Galway, Ireland. You will build and automate authentication, authorization, identity management, and auditing capabilities for Cisco's internal cloud platform.

You will work on HashiCorp Vault integration, IAM tooling, and least-privilege access controls, leveraging Go, Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes within a global, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years (BS) or 2+ years (MS) of software development experience.
• Automation and development experience using Python, Go, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of SSO, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, and identity federation.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, AWS/GCP).
• Experience with leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and automate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and evolution of platform capabilities for authentication, authorization, identity federation, and auditing.
• Participate in design, build, and operate Vault capabilities for secrets management and access policies.
• Implement role- and policy-based access control, service identities, and least-privilege access models.
• Automate identity lifecycle, access provisioning, policy enforcement, validation, and recovery using Go, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Participate in global Tier3 support.
