Job summary

Klaviyo’s Infrastructure Security team is hiring a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-native security services at scale. Based in Dublin, Ireland, this hybrid role involves ownership of end-to-end components and collaboration across teams to ship secure software.

The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and security, with hands-on work in Python/Go, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating cloud-native, distributed systems.
• Production-grade Python or Go code experience.
• Hands-on AWS and IAM experience.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Ability to own services end-to-end with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native security services used across Klaviyo
• Own components end to end from implementation to production operation
• Improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of infrastructure security systems
• Collaborate with senior engineers on design and architecture
• Identify performance, reliability, and security issues in distributed systems
• Work with Python, Go, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and databases
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and whiteboarding
• Contribute to monitoring, alerting, incident response
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Build tooling and documentation to improve developer experience and security posture
• Partner with product-facing and platform engineers to ship secure solutions
