Job summary

Randstad Digital in Ireland seeks a Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance for high-throughput environments.

You will mentor engineers, enforce SecOps, and collaborate with stakeholders to align platform delivery with business goals, while leading DevOps best practices across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Architecture.
• Proven track record deploying and scaling enterprise SaaS products across Azure, GCP, and/or AWS.
• Containerization expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
• IaC proficiency with Terraform and Ansible.
• 4+ years of scripting/automation with Python, Java, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with modern DBs and data pipelines (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Redis, Kafka).
• Strong Unix systems administration, cloud-native observability, SecOps & security.
• Leadership in mentoring engineers and setting technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead design and deployment of multi-cloud infra across major providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git, and Artifactory.

The Role

As a Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of our clients multi-cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring optimum stability, scalability, and performance across high-throughput environments.

This is a critical leadership role where you will not only drive technical strategy and cloud architecture, but also mentor junior/peer engineers, enforce SecOps best practices, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to align platform delivery with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design and deployment of highly available, secure, and scalable multi-cloud infrastructure across major cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Maintain and evolve modern continuous integration and delivery pipelines (build, test, and package) using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git, and Artifactory.
• Build and maintain high-performance Microservices Architecture in production using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Drive automation across environment provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Provide technical guidance, perform code/architecture reviews, and foster engineering best practices across teams.
• Implement robust database management (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Redis, Kafka) and end-to-end cloud security and compliance practices.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Architecture.
• Proven track record deploying and scaling enterprise SaaS products across major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, and/or AWS beyond basic compute).
• Containerization Expertise: Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes (k8s) orchestration.
• IaC Proficiency: Strong skills in configuration management and IaC tools, specifically Terraform and Ansible.
• Scripting & Automation: 4+ years of experience with programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, Go, or Bash).
• Database & Data Pipeline Exposure: Experience with modern database management (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Redis, or Kafka).
• Systems Background: Strong *nix systems administration foundation with a solid understanding of cloud-native observability, SecOps, and network security.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience mentoring engineers, setting technical strategy, and advocating for DevOps best practices.
