Job summary

Sun Life invites a 3rd-year IT student to join its Cloud Centre of Excellence for a hands-on co‑op internship in Waterford. You will rotate through Cloud Configuration & Compliance and Cloud Partner Engineering, gaining exposure to governance, security, tagging, and automation while supporting customer requests and onboarding.

Successful candidates are pursuing an IT degree, enthusiastic about cloud tech and collaboration, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Currently in a 3rd-year IT degree with mandatory internship.
• Interest in cloud, security, and governance.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Understand AWS concepts including IaaS and PaaS.
• Assist with cloud configuration, compliance and security findings.
• Support customer requests and onboarding activities.
• Contribute to automation and documentation.
• Participate in incident response and reporting.
• Develop simple cloud services, scripts and dashboards.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver compliant cloud solutions.
• Learn and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support continuous process improvement.
