Job description

About us:

Spectrum.Life is a whole-of-health digital partner that guides organisations and their people to thrive, delivering clinically backed digital health, mental health and wellbeing solutions.

Our HealthTech delivers digital transformation for Insurers, Educators and Employers through Co-creation or seamlessly integrated out-of-the-box solutions, that decrease digital fragmentation and engage, empower, and transform their people’s lives.

Established in 2018 by Stuart McGoldrick and Stephen Costello, Spectrum.Life provides services internationally to over 7.2m insurance members, 3,000 corporate clients, 60 universities and 650,000 university students. Spectrum.Life currently employs around 500 people.

Our vision is to change and save as many lives as possible.

Role Brief:

Spectrum.Life is growing quickly across Ireland, the UK and Australia, and every clinical hire adds capacity to deliver care for our insurer, employer and education partners. We are seeking a Clinical Talent & Credentialling Specialist to act as the organisation's specialist on how clinical professionals are sourced, assessed and credentialled across three regulatory jurisdictions.

This is not a generalist recruitment role. Our clinical workforce spans counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, Digital Therapists, Client Care Counsellors, GPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioners, each governed by different registration and accreditation regimes in each market. You will own the credentialling framework that determines who is qualified to deliver care on our behalf, design and run role‑specific clinical assessment with our clinical leads, and lead end-to-end clinical hiring across Ireland, the UK and Australia. You will also provide specialist people support to clinical managers through onboarding, probation and early retention.

You will partner with our Talent Acquisition Manager, clinical leads and the wider People team, and your judgement will directly shape clinical governance, client contract compliance and our capacity to grow.

Responsibilities:

Clinical credentialling and governance

  • Own and maintain the clinical credentialling matrix for every clinical role in every market, setting out the registration, accreditation, qualification and post‑qualification experience required, and keeping it current as regulatory requirements change
  • Verify each candidate's credentials directly with the relevant regulatory and professional bodies, and make determinations on equivalence where qualifications or accreditations were gained in a different jurisdiction, escalating complex cases to the relevant clinical lead
  • Track regulatory developments affecting our clinical workforce, including the move to statutory registration of counsellors and psychotherapists with CORU in Ireland, and advise clinical and People leadership on the impact for hiring and for existing staff
  • Lead ongoing re‑verification of registration and accreditation for existing clinicians, so that every clinician delivering care holds valid credentials at all times
  • Keep credentialling and pre‑employment records audit‑ready for insurer, employer and university client contracts and for internal clinical governance reviews
  • Design and oversee jurisdiction‑specific pre‑employment screening, including Garda vetting, DBS, National Police Checks and Working with Children Checks, across a range of check platforms
Clinical assessment and selection
  • Design role‑specific screening and competency‑based assessment with clinical leads, including clinical scenario questions that reflect the distinct requirements of roles such as Digital Therapists, Client Care Counsellors and psychologists
  • Conduct structured first‑stage assessments covering clinical background, modality, scope of practice, digital delivery capability and right to work, and give evidence‑based recommendations to hiring panels
  • Lead the end‑to‑end clinical hiring process from demand planning through to offer and contract, ensuring a consistent, compliant and positive candidate experience across all three markets
Specialist sourcing and workforce planning
  • Partner with hiring managers and clinical leads to forecast clinical demand by team, service and market, and track open clinical FTE against plan
  • Develop sourcing strategies for scarce clinical skills in competitive markets, using professional body networks, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search and direct engagement, and build talent pools for recurring high‑volume roles to reduce reliance on agencies
  • Source internationally where local supply is insufficient, and manage the associated employment permit, right‑to‑work and qualification recognition processes across Ireland, the UK and Australia
  • Provide market intelligence on clinical salary benchmarks, competitor activity and talent supply in each market to inform pay and workforce decisions
People partnering and insight
  • Advise clinical managers on onboarding, probation and early‑tenure support for new clinicians, working with the People team to reduce under‑three‑month attrition
  • Report on clinical hiring and early retention performance, including time to hire, offer acceptance, pipeline conversion, quality of hire and early attrition, and use the insight to improve process and policy
  • Contribute to the development of People policies and processes relating to recruitment, credentialling, right to work and onboarding
  • Support non‑clinical hiring in technology, finance, commercial and customer operations as business needs require
Requirements:

Essential

  • At least three years' experience in clinical recruitment or talent acquisition, including in-house experience in a regulated healthcare environment
  • Concurrent clinical recruitment experience across at least two of Ireland, the United Kingdom and Australia
  • Detailed working knowledge of the registration and accreditation regimes for counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, doctors and nurses in those markets, and experience verifying credentials directly with regulatory and professional bodies
  • Knowledge of the relevant bodies and what each requires of its members, including CORU, PSI, IACP, NMBI and the Medical Council in Ireland; HCPC, BACP, UKCP, BABCP, BPS, GMC and NMC in the UK; and AHPRA, PACFA, ACA and APS in Australia
  • Experience designing or delivering competency‑based or clinical‑scenario assessment in partnership with clinical leads
  • Hands‑on experience of jurisdiction‑specific pre‑employment compliance in health, including Garda vetting, DBS, National Police Checks and Working with Children Checks
  • Working knowledge of employment permit, right‑to‑work and qualification recognition requirements in Ireland, the UK and Australia
  • A track record of managing a live clinical pipeline across multiple teams and markets against hiring targets and KPIs
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience reporting recruitment and early‑retention metrics to senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search
  • Sound judgement, rigorous attention to detail and the confidence to advise senior clinical and People leaders
Desirable:
  • A third‑level qualification in human resources, psychology, business or a related discipline
  • Experience contributing to HR policy, onboarding or probation processes
  • Experience supporting clinical governance or client audit processes
