Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care.

• Lead by example and demonstrate a strong ‘team ethos’ being positive and motivational at all times.
• Management of medication in compliance with An Bord Altrnais regulations, nursing home regulations and HIQA standards.
• Management of KPIs for the assigned department.
• Providing Palliative Care to residents.
• Encouraging, training and guiding team while maintaining a happy environment.
• Providing guidance and advice to all junior nursing and caring staff

The CNM will report to the Director of Nursing and will be working closely with residents, senior management and other stakeholders to effectively manage the assigned department and ensure a high standard of care.

The role requires someone with management experience in care planning and delivery in a nursing home/care environment, excellent interpersonal skills, highly organized, strong communicator, and taking an active role in promoting 'person-centred best practice' in the care of older adults.
