CareChoice Montenotte is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our team in Montenotte, Cork. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care and maintaining professional standards in line with An Bord Altranais guidelines.

The position offers a supportive environment with opportunities for development. Responsibilities include assessing care needs, administering medications, maintaining resident dignity, and providing palliative care when required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• NMBI registration preferred for practice in Ireland.

Personal Presentation

• Ensuring that ones personal demeanour, attitudes and interactions are at all times professional and in Line with An Bord Altranais Guidelines and scope of practice
• Adherence to An Bord Altranais Code of Practice
• Presented in the full company uniform at all times
• Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene
• Presented in Personal protective Equipment (PPE) when required
• Practicing and promoting Nursing home guidelines on hand washing and Infection Control to protect oneself and others
• Adherence to guidelines on Absenteeism Lateness and sickness

Resident Care

• Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating nursing care
• Prioritising care needs of residents while ensuring care is individualised
• Assisting in Managing the nursing home environment so that it is conducive to meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of residents
• Preparing and Administrating Drugs in line with Company policy and 'An Bord Altranais' guidelines
• Ensuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the residents dignity at all time
• Assisting in the safekeeping of residents valuables
• Providing Palliative care for dying residents and support for their relatives

Performance Management

• Leading by example and demonstrating a strong 'team ethos' being positive and motivational at all times
• Conducting induction and sign off for new employees
• Planning and allocating daily tasks for care and support staff in a fair and consistent manner
• Encouraging, training and guiding team while maintaining a happy environment
• Participating in Staff Appraisals while continually assessing the performance of all employees
• Addressing with out delay any issues or allegations
