Job summary

Kate Cowhig International Recruitment is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for elderly care homes in County Kilkenny. The role focuses on delivering high standards of nursing and social care tailored to each resident, while ensuring adherence to policies and clinical guidelines.

The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team, perform comprehensive resident assessments, and escalate complex issues to the Director of Nursing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high standards of nursing and social care in line with policies.
• Collaborate with staff across all areas to maintain standards.
• Identify concerns and follow up with the Director of Nursing to implement action plans.
• Review residents with pressure sores, falls or illness and ensure appropriate management plans.
• Troubleshoot clinical and non-clinical issues and escalate as required.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor ongoing care plans.

Kate Cowhig International Recruitment is currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager for elderly care homes in Co. Kilkenny.

Please note that there is no sponsorship available for this position. Candidates must have the right to work in Ireland.

The successful candidate would ensure the delivery of the highest standards of nursing and social care which meet the individual needs of each resident by:

• Ensuring that the home policies and best clinical standards are always practiced.
• Working with different staff members in all areas to ensure that standards are maintained. Identify areas that may be of concern and follow up with the Director of Nursing to put action plans put in place.
• Reviewing residents with pressure sores /sustained falls / clinically unwell, through clinical practices and documentation to ensure appropriate management plan is in place.
• Troubleshoot any ongoing clinical issues and non-clinical issues and escalating to the Director of Nursing.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of residents and monitor ongoing assessments and modifications.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• BSc in General Nursing or equivalent.
• Previous managerial training / experience is an advantage.
• Registered on the NMBI live register.
• Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills.
• Sound decision making ability.
• Ability to motivate self and others and work on own initiative.
• Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
