Job summary

The Rehab Group in Ireland is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (PIC) for Abbey Lodge Service in Ballinamore, Co Leitrim. This permanent, 39-hour role leads residential services for people with intellectual disabilities, ensuring high quality, person-centred care.

The post holder will be registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland and bring at least three years of management experience in health or social care, with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and safeguarding

Qualifications

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of 3 years' management experience in health or social care, 2 in intellectual disability.
Proven ability to build networks and drive service development.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic and operational delivery of residential services to meet clients' needs and engage them in care planning.
Establish continuous improvement processes and embed best practice across the network.
Direct operational staff, develop talent, and ensure robust people management and performance monitoring.

Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Person in Charge (PIC)

Job Purpose

Responsibility for service planning, development, delivery and the daily management of a quality client focused residential service, supporting clients with Intellectual disabilities in a person centred residential service.

The post holder will be the nominated Person in Charge for the designated center and will ensure the provision of high quality, responsive and sustainable services in accordance with HIQA regulations and relevant legislation (including Safeguarding of vulnerable adults 2014 and Trust in Care 2005) and Rehab Group standards.

The post holders responsibilities will include: overseeing the quality of residential care, the management of relationships with key stakeholders independently, and, where required in collaboration with the Regional Manager; the leadership and management of the team and co-ordination/direction of the activities within the services; the safeguarding and protection of all residential service users in the service; the provision of clinical and professional leadership and promoting the values of the Rehab Group.

The post holder will identify and implement an integrated approach to service delivery across the Group’s suite of services in their network area.

Minimum Education & Skills required

§ Be registered in the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland)

§ A minimum of 3 years’ experience in management of supervisory role in the area of health or social care; of which 2 must be in the specialty area of intellectual disability

§ Experience of creating and maintaining effective working relations and networks at all levels, to further the development of the service, and enhance the service's reputation

§ Experience as a leader with strong operational and general management competency

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Leadthe strategic and operational delivery of Residential services in order to meet the identified needs and wishes of the people that we support; allowing for active participation and engagement, including the management and analysis of complaints.

Establishcontinuous improvement processes and controls in order that shared learning opportunities are optimised and national/international best practice is embedded at the earliest opportunity. This will be achieved through working in collaboration with colleagues across Group.

Lead and directoperational staff within services to ensure that robust people management principles are embedded so as to foster a strong a strong cross-functional team working ethos; identification and development of emerging talent; development of a performance management culture; as well as clear communication of the team’s progress in meeting its performance objectives working closely with the Regional Manager.
