Job summary

Avista seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for Community Residential Services in Limerick. You will lead nursing staff, ensure high-quality care for people with intellectual disabilities, and maintain HIQA compliance in a person-centred, rights-based framework.

The role requires NMBI registration, a QQI Level 6 management qualification or equivalent, and at least 5 years post-registration experience (3 in disability services). A driving license and the ability to work independently are essential.

• At least 5 years post-registration nursing experience, with 3 years in disability services.
• Previous CNM1 experience in Intellectual Disability.
• Full clean Irish driving license and own car access.
• Proficiency in English.
• Completed mandatory training.
• Strong managerial, organising and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards/regulations and Health Act 2007 with ability to maintain HIQA compliance.
• Knowledge of rostering and leave planning for staff.
• Understanding of the role of Person in Charge.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage change.

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 2

COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES, LIMERICK

SPECIFIED PURPOSE FULL-TIME CONTRACT (37.5 Hours Per Week),

Salary: 62,699- € 79,227* (lsi)

• Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experienceof work.

Essential:

• NMBI Registration.
• Management Qualification- Possess a Recognised Management Qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent.
• Have at least 5 years of post-registration nursing experience of which 3 must be within disability services.
• Have previous experience at CNM1 level within the area of Intellectual Disability
• Full Clean Irish Driving License for Manual Vehicles and access to own car.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Have completed mandatory training.
• Proven managerial, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Have a detailed knowledge of the HIQA standards / regulations and Health Act 2007 and have the ability to maintain compliance with HIQA.
• Have a detailed knowledge of rostering and managing the rostering arrangements and leave planning for staff.
• Have a detailed knowledge of the role of the Person in Charge and the ability to complete same.
• Have a detailed knowledge of rostering and managing the rostering arrangements and leave planning for staff.
• Be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and the capacity to manage change.

Desirable:

• Have previous experience in relation to autism and mental health
• Have the ability to work effectively with families and the wider MDT
