Job summary

Avista CLG is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 at St. Vincent’s Centre, Lisnagry, Limerick. The role requires NMBI registration, a management qualification, and extensive post-registration nursing experience in disability services.

You will lead clinical teams, ensure HIQA standards, and manage rostering and relationships with families and the MDT. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, possess a driving licence, access to own car, and demonstrate strong leadership and change

Qualifications

• Must have NMBI registration.
• Management qualification at least QQI Level 6 or equivalent, to be completed within 3 months if not already held.
• At least 5 years post-registration nursing experience, with 3 years in disability services.
• Prior CNM1 level experience in Intellectual Disability or similar.
• Must have completed mandatory training and be proficient in HIQA standards and Health Act 2007 compliance.

• NMBI Registration.
• Management Qualification - Possess a Recognised Management Qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent or to be completed within three months.
• Have at least 5 years of post-registration nursing experience of which 3 must be within disability services.
• Have previous experience at CNM1 level within the area of Intellectual Disability
• Have completed mandatory training.
• Proven managerial, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Have a detailed knowledge of the HIQA standards / regulations and Health Act 2007 and have the ability to maintain compliance with HIQA.
• Have a detailed knowledge of rostering and managing the rostering arrangements and leave planning for staff.
• Have a detailed knowledge of the role of the Person in Charge and the ability to complete same.
• Have a detailed knowledge of rostering and managing the rostering arrangements and leave planning for staff.
• Be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and the capacity to manage change.
• Full Clean Irish Driving Licence for Manual Vehicles and access to own car.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Have previous experience in relation to autism and mental health.
• Have the ability to work effectively with families and the wider MDT.
