Muiríosa Foundation is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 / Social Care Manager 1 for the Portlaoise preschool service. This permanent part-time fixed-term role (approx. 60 hours per fortnight) requires strong leadership and a drive to develop child-centred supports.

Applicants should have the relevant nursing or social care qualification, CORU/NMBI registration or be in process, and at least four years post-qualification experience, with knowledge of Early Years regulations.

Qualifications

• Relevant Nursing or Social Care qualification.
• If nursing, on live NMBI register (RNID preferred).
• CORU approved or undergoing registration for social care.
• Minimum of four years post-qualification experience.
• Knowledge of Early Years Regulations for pre-schools.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to lead and support teams.
• Full current driving licence.
• Willingness to complete management training.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the pre-school service in Portlaoise.
• Develop and implement child-centred supports with a team.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Early Years standards.

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 1/SOCIAL CARE MANAGER 1

(PERMANENT PART TIME FIXED TERM APPROX 1 YEAR - 60 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT)

• Relevant Nursing / Social Care Qualification. If nursing qualification - on the live register of NMBI/An Bord Altranais - [RNID qualification preferable]. If social care, qualification must be on teh CORU approved list and the applicant must be CORU approved or undergoing registration.
• Minimum of 4 years experience post qualification.
• Have a knowledge of the Early Year’s Regulations for pre-schools.
• Experience in supporting children with additional support needs.
• Experience in and commitment to developing supports that are child/person centred.
• A proven ability to lead and support teams.
• Management experience.
• Commitment to develop professional knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
• Experience of working with children with a range of support needs to include behaviours of concern.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Full current driving licence.
• An ability to demonstrate flexibility.
• Experience working in a pre-school setting.
• A relevant childcare qualification for the role [as per DYCA guidelines on qualifications].
• Have successfully completed a relevant management course or commitment to do so within a specific timeframe.
