Job summary

Children’s Health Ireland Jobs is seeking a Theatre Nurse to coordinate and manage activity and resources within the clinical theatre area. The post holder will work with the CNM2 to ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and family-centred service delivery.

You will oversee staffing, contribute to staff development and provide clinical leadership to the theatre team, driving communication and quality outcomes in a fast-paced acute setting.

Qualifications

• RGN/RCN registered with NMBI.
• Minimum 3 years post-registration theatre nursing experience in an acute clinical environment within the last 7 years.
• A primary degree in Nursing or Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (RCN/RGN).

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this post is to the post holder has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are staffing and staff development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership. The role will proactively manage the Theatre daily activities, together with the CNM2 to provide quality and safety outcomes for patients and their families.

• A primary degree in Nursing or Post Graduate Diploma / Qualification in Nursing RCN/RGN.
