Job summary

Eden-Social-Care in Dublin North is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead a brand-new, state-of-the-art nursing home. You will oversee clinical operations, develop person-centred care plans and lead a dedicated nursing and care team from day one.

The ideal candidate is an RGN with at least three years' experience in elder care, plus strong leadership, HIQA knowledge and excellent communication. The role offers a supportive leadership team and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) on the NMBI live register.
• Minimum 3 years' experience caring for older people (last 6 years).
• Post-registration qualification in a relevant clinical or management area desirable.
• Previous senior nursing or clinical leadership experience desirable.
• Strong HIQA knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and supervise the nursing and care teams to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, choice and quality of life.
• Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure appropriate care planning and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, NMBI requirements and relevant legislation.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, infection prevention and control, medication management and risk management.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and service development.
• Support staff recruitment, induction, training, supervision and ongoing professional development.
• Promote effective communication and positive relationships with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage staffing levels and ensure the effective allocation of nursing and care resources.
• Support the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing in the overall management and development of the service.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN), registered on the appropriate division of the NMBI live register.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the care of older people within the last 6 years.
• A recognised post-registration qualification in a relevant clinical or management area is desirable.
• Previous experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role is desirable.
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, support and develop nursing and care teams.
• Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and enhancing the lives of older people.
