Job summary

The Marlay Nursing Home in Rathfarnham, Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 to join the team on a full-time contract. CNM1 will report to the Director of Nursing and work closely with residents, the management team and other stakeholders to manage the department and ensure high standards of care.

• A minimum of three years of experience in care planning and delivery in an elderly care environment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care
• Managing, supervising, supporting, training and leading the care team within the assigned department
• Planning and allocation of nursing teams with appropriate staff members, skill mix and levels of experience to meet the clinical demands and the continuity of care
• Lead by example and demonstrate a strong 'team ethos' being positive and motivational at all times
• Management of medication in compliance with An Bord Altranais regulations, nursing home regulations and the HIQA standards
• Management of KPIs for the assigned department
• Providing Palliative Care to residents.

The Marlay Nursing Home have an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 to join our team on a full-time contract. This is an exciting time to join the Marlay Nursing home as it continues its expansion with the opening of a new extension.

Description:

CNM 1 will report to the Director of Nursing and will be working closely with residents, senior management and other stakeholders to effectively manage the assigned department and ensure a high standard of care.

The role requires someone with management experience in care planning and delivery in a nursing home/care environment, excellent interpersonal skills, highly organized, strong communicator, and taking an active role in promoting 'person-centred best practice' in the care of older adults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care
• Managing, supervising, supporting, training and leading the care team within the assigned department
• Planning and allocation of nursing teams with appropriate staff members, skill mix and levels of experience to meet the clinical demands and the continuity of care
