Job summary

Marymount University Hospital & Hospice is seeking a Data Analyst to ensure accuracy and governance of clinical and operational data. You will deliver high-quality analytics and BI to support service delivery, quality improvement and decision-making.

The role involves leading KPI development and dashboards, supporting management with data insights and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of GDPR and Excel, Power BI and SQL is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 7 qualification (Honours Bachelor's Degree) in Statistics, Data Analytics, Computing, Information Systems, Health Informatics or related field.
• Have at least one year's experience in data analysis, reporting or analytics or completed an appropriate placement.
• Experience producing reports, KPIs or performance information from clinical or operational systems.
• Experience handling confidential personal data and understanding GDPR and Data Protection requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Power BI or a similar data visualisation platform.
• Working knowledge of SQL queries and databases.
• Understanding of data normalisation and ERD mapping.
• Ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, governance and timely delivery of clinical and operational data and reporting.
• Develop, monitor and report KPI dashboards and support national reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with managers, clinicians and teams to provide insights for service improvement.
• Provide training on reporting tools and contribute to digital system implementations.
• Support projects and ensure data quality and governance across the organisation.
