The role requires NMBI General Division registration, experience in acute medical/surgical inpatient care, and a track record in service improvement and mentoring students. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses (NMBI).
• Completed a management course or relevant post-registration courses preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of admissions, transfers and discharge procedures with strong assessment skills.
• Extensive experience in an acute medical and surgical inpatient setting.
• Preceptorship/teaching and assessing students' experience is essential.
• Experience implementing service improvement and development.
• Experience managing bed capacity utilisation.

CLINICAL ADMISSIONS CO-ORDINATOR (CNMI) **Full Time/Part Time Permanent**Bon Secours Hospital Cork is part of the Bon Secours Health System which is the largest independent hospital group in Ireland with over 2,500 staff including 350 leading consultants. The Clinical Admissions Co-ordinator will support the Bed Management Department in the effective co-ordination and prioritisation of hospital admissions, contributing to safe patient care, efficient patient flow and the optimal utilisation of bed capacity.The post holder will assess and prioritise acute admission requests and co-ordinate scheduled admissions in collaboration with the Bed Manager, GPs, Consultants, Clinical Nurse Managers and multidisciplinary teams.
