Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit on a full-time permanent basis. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, provide high standards of patient care, and support junior staff on shift.

The successful candidate will have registration with NMBI, several years in acute care, and experience in critical care; postgraduate qualification is desirable. We offer training, mentoring, and opportunities for further education.

Qualifications

• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI.
• Must have at least 3 years recent experience in an acute setting.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in critical care or similar.
• Post graduate in critical care or similar is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility on each shift for nursing care of allocated patients.
• Work within the nursing team and assist colleagues as necessary.
• Collaborate as part of the multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of patient care.

Staff Nurse – Critical Care Unit Full-Time - Permanent

Bon Secours Hospital Cork are seeking to recruit nurses to support a broad range of inpatient specialist areas. Full training and mentoring are given to all staff nurses as well as funding and support in further education. We are committed to the professional development & education of staff particularly in nursing. We are inviting application from suitably qualified and experienced staff nurses The successful applicant will be required to take responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of allocated patients. To Work within the nursing team and assist colleagues as necessary in providing and maintaining the highest standards in patient care at all times and to work as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI


• Must have at least 3 years recent experience in an acute setting


• Must have at least 1 year experience in critical care or similar


• Post graduate in critical care or similar is desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.


• Must possess strong communication skills and clinical skills.


• Fluency in English, both written and spoken


• Must be computer literate


• Flexibility and excellent use of initiative
