Willis Towers Watson in Ireland seeks a Client Service - Construction Broker for the Dublin/Cork office to manage and grow a portfolio of large construction clients, delivering specialist broking, placement and advisory services while driving retention and growth.

You will lead placements, negotiate complex construction risks, develop strategies, and mentor junior brokers, while building insurer relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance across the team.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support tenders, RFPs and pitches.
• Collaborate with Construction Lead, Account Executives and service teams to improve strategic decision making.
• Mentor junior brokers and support team development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and grow a portfolio of large and complex construction clients, delivering specialist broking, placement and advisory services while driving retention, growth and superior client outcomes.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, service and retention of a portfolio of construction clients including contractors, developers and project owners.
• Lead placement and negotiation of complex construction risks including Liability, CAR and associated construction covers.
• Develop and implement placement strategies to optimize coverage and pricing.
• Provide technical expertise on construction risks, policy wording and programme design to our customers and internal WTW teams.
• Build and maintain strong insurer relationships to achieve best customer pricing and coverage.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support development of tenders, RFPs and pitches as needed.
• Collaborate with Construction Lead, Account Executives and service teams to improve WTW’s strategic decision making in the Construction specialism and wider business.
• Mentor junior brokers and support team development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience in construction broking, insurance products and markets
• CIP qualified; ACII/MDI (or progression) preferred
• Proven ability in complex placements and insurer negotiation
• Ability to interpret legal and contractual documentation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercially focused with a track record in servicing and maintaining an existing portfolio of Business along with growing and pursuing new business
