Our client, a long-established and highly respected accountancy practice with offices in Dublin and Kilkenny, is seeking to hire a Client Manager to join their growing Dublin team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical accounting expertise with strong client interaction and commercial engagement. This role will suit someone who thrives in a client-facing environment, enjoys building long-term relationships, and is confident engaging with new and walk-in clients while identifying opportunities to support business growth. The Role As Client Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of SME clients, acting as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact. You will work closely with Partners to ensure a high standard of client service while overseeing workflow, compliance, and team delivery. You will also play a key role in client engagement, confidently managing incoming business enquiries, walk-in clients, and helping to identify business development opportunities through strong relationship management. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of SME clients across a variety of sectors, acting as the main point of contact Build strong, long-term client relationships and deliver a high standard of client service Confidently engage with new and walk-in clients, understanding their requirements and helping convert opportunities into long-term relationships Identify opportunities to support business development and expand existing client relationships Ensure all statutory and tax compliance deadlines are met accurately and on time Oversee accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and taxation compliance work Support, mentor, and review the work of junior team members Work closely with Partners on workflow management, client engagements, and advisory matters Liaise with clients regularly to support their accounting, taxation, and business advisory requirements Drive efficiencies through the effective use of cloud accounting technologies About You Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment in a similar Client Manager / Accounts Manager role Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build trusted relationships Commercially minded and comfortable engaging with prospective and walk-in clients Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail Comfortable leading and supporting junior staff Strong working knowledge of Xero, Bright Accounts, Dext, and cloud-based accounting systems Whats on Offer Competitive salary package Pension Free parking Ongoing educational and professional development support Opportunity to join a collaborative, team-focused environment with strong career progression opportunities Exposure to a broad and varied client portfolio in a progressive, well-established practice If you are looking for a client-facing role where you can combine technical accounting expertise with relationship management and business engagement, we would be delighted to hear from you.
