Job summary

Apleona is recruiting a Mobile Industrial Cleaner to join our Galway team. The role involves general cleaning across the building, including offices, floors, toilets, kitchens, and public areas, with travel required as part of the job.

You will work pattern: Mon-Sun, 7am-3pm, 40 hours weekly, and report to the Supervisor/Manager. Applicants should have a good work record and a full clean driving licence; prior industrial cleaning experience and familiarity with cleaning equipment are desirable.

Qualifications

• Good work record and full clean driving licence are essential.
• Previous experience as an industrial cleaner is desirable.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of offices, floors, corridors, stairwells and toilets.
• Vacuuming, dusting and washing floors and walls.
• Cleaning and disinfecting kitchens and bathrooms.
• Working at heights and using MEWP when required.
• Maintaining confidentiality and promoting a friendly atmosphere.
• Keeping records and assisting with stock replenishment.

At Apleona, we are currently recruiting for Mobile Industrial Cleaners to join our team based in Galway.

Working Pattern: Monday to Sunday, 7am-3pm, 40 hours per week

Travel required as part of role.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning of all areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells, and toilets
• Vacuuming, dusting, and washing floors and walls
• Sweeping, floor polishing and waste disposal
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Ensuring the toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies are replenished when required
• Organise necessary supplies for cleaning toilet facilities
• Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers, and elevators
• General housekeeping and cleaning around the building and litter control.
• Working at heights, and cleaning of windows, gutters, and roof.
• Working with machinery, such as boom and or scissor lifts, MEWP.
• Inform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposes.
• Report and store lost and found items.
• May provide basic information on facilities, and handle complaints.
• Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Undertake other routine tasks such as power hosing forecourt and dealing with recycling.
• Maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to service users, ex-service users, and general business
• Attend training and meetings as required and participate in performance reviews
• Keep accurate records in relation to all aspects of work and prepare reports as required
• Have a flexible approach to work in response to business change, development, and review of best practice

Qualifications and experience

• Good Work Record and Full clean Driving Licence is essential
• Previous experience as working as an industrial cleaner is desirable
• Experience in the use of cleaning equipment is desirable
