Job summary

Apleona is recruiting a part-time Cleaning Operative to join our team in Ballincurrig, Co Cork, working in a residential care home. This role focuses on maintaining clean and safe facilities for residents and staff.

Working pattern: 25 hours per week, Monday-Sunday with shifts from 8:30 to 13:30 or 11:30-16:30. Candidates should have experience in a similar role and a good working knowledge of English, with a commitment to safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning of all areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairs and toilets.
• Vacuuming, dusting, and washing floors and walls.
• Sweeping, floor polishing, and waste disposal.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Ensure toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies replenished.
• Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers, and elevators.
• General housekeeping and cleaning around the building.
• Inform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposes.
• Undertake any other duties as requested.
