Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Civils Site Foreperson in Dublin to lead site activities on nationwide projects. The role requires directing forepersons and subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with engineers and the site team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience.
• CSCS Card required.
• Full clean driving licence required.
• Any additional tickets/training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters with SHQE.
• Project professional image of self and the company.
• Supervise section/trades foreperson and sub-contractors.
• Coordinate with engineers, quantity surveyors, safety officers and clerks of works to ensure understanding of information.
• Monitor and control labour, plant and materials.
• Keep daily diaries and allocation sheets up to date.
• Implement and promote safe systems of work across activities.
• Assist engineers with setting out information and technical details for method statements.
• Attend and contribute to weekly site meetings on safety, progress, costs and programme.
• Carry out toolbox talks, safety alerts and method statement briefings.
• Ensure weekly/daily inspections are carried out as required.
• Support workforce development and identify training needs.
• Promote Murphy Development Culture (Zero Harm).

Main Purpose of Role:

• Due to continuous growth within the company, Murphy Ireland are currently looking for a Site Foreperson to join and contribute towards some new and exciting projects.

Role Duties:

• Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
• Project professional image of self and the company.
• Supervise section/trades foreperson and sub-contractors.
• Communicate with rest of site team including engineers, quantity surveyors, safety officers and clerk of works to ensure full understanding of information.
• Monitor and control labour, plant and materials.
• Ensure daily diaries and allocation sheets are up to date.
• Implement and promote safe systems of work over all activities.
• Work with engineers on setting out information and details of technical information, contributing to the preparation of method statements.
• Attend and contribute to weekly meetings with site team regarding safety, progress, expenditure, costs and programme (When required).
• Ensure toolbox talks, safety alerts and method statement briefings are carried out.
• Ensure all statutory weekly or daily inspections are carried out, e.g. weekly safety and environment tours.
• Assist development of the workforce and identify training requirements.
• Participate in, and positively promote, the Murphy Development Culture (leading to Zero Harm).
