Job summary

Global Professional Consultants’ client seeks a Civils Site Manager for a major residential development in Kildare. You will manage day-to-day civils and infrastructure, supervise earthworks, roads, drainage, and services, and coordinate subcontractors.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, 5–7+ years’ site management experience, BCAR knowledge, Irish Water/ESB liaison, and proficiency with Procore. A full driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 5–7+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role.
• Strong civils/groundworks experience within residential or housing developments.
• Proven experience managing roads, drainage and services infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of BCAR, Building Regulations and relevant Irish Standards.
• Experience liaising with Irish Water, ESB Networks and Local Authorities.
• Experience managing multiple civils packages across phased developments.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of all civils and infrastructure works on site.
• Overseeing site clearance, earthworks, roads, drainage and services infrastructure.
• Managing and coordinating groundworks, drainage and utility subcontractors.
• Liaising with Irish Water, ESB Networks, Gas Networks Ireland and Local Authorities regarding services, connections and taking-in-charge requirements.
• Planning and sequencing civils works to ensure the project remains on programme.
• Monitoring progress and proactively identifying and resolving any delays.
• Working closely with the Site Engineer on setting out, levels and as-built records.
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, BCAR requirements and relevant standards.
• Carrying out quality inspections, testing and sign-offs at key stages of the works.
• Maintaining accurate site records, testing certificates and quality assurance documentation.
• Managing subcontractors, plant, materials and labour to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.
• Liaising with the Design Team, consultants and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
• Attending site progress meetings and supporting the transition from the civils/infrastructure phase into superstructure works

Our client, a well-established residential developer, is currently seeking an experienced Civils Site Manager to join their team on a residential development project in Kildare.

The Role:
